I think I may have bought the etudio one, but I bought in case mine quits. Sophisticated and versatile track editing tools. I purchased two high-end recording headsets one for the Korg operator, one for the artist in the boothand had to buy a "Y" adapter to use both at once - but this does function well.
The internal reverb effects -- through much experimentation and editing-- are deep and give a sound as good as I have heard.

Yes, I baby it -- it's in a humidity controlled studio and I do use a dust cover when I'm not recording-- though there is little dust in this environment. But should I stray into something new I'll be spending time in the manual.

If you understand that dozens of controls to your reverb klrg are a good thing you will probably be astonished at the control you have over the entire concert hall and your placement in it. Thank goodness there are still used ones still available in case mine dies. A learning noise reduction feature removes unwanted ambient noise without impairing the original sound!
Can't explain why, but it ended up being an advantage as the tech found one with four times the size as the original. I've also found that I can get it up and recording tracks in a fraction of the time it takes computer recording units to get going. Using KORG's exclusive Knob Matrix, simply twist the Group and Session knobs to choose the overall musical style and use the Variation knob to select a pattern appropriate for your song.
I found the korv preamps unusable -- picking up radio signal with mic cables as short as ten feet! The internal drum machine is a waste of time. It even gives you the ability to do manual punch-ins to fix errors.

Eecording Digital Electronic Drums. The only true "con" to this unit is the abysmally small view screen, which I conquered by buying and installing the "2seemy" kit www. It has been tested and is in full working order. As a replacement drive was a bit hard to find in I bought a second as backup.
